Racing Results From Around The Country!
Whilst a certain virus and a 70.3 a week prior meant we had a smaller start list than originally planned the #jetpack that did attend 2XU race Six certainly did us proud.
One of the worlds top humans, Josh ‘Rookie’ Robson raced to another PB performance and his first podium in the hotly contested M25-29 age group whilst his brother (Daniel) was surviving hot air balloon crashes… he’s ok!
Alison Sanders raced her first race in JET colours and it’s believed she did not stop smiling from the time she put it on to the time she took it off. 6min PB as well, if you don’t mind. See, JET kits are faster, AND, they make you happier!
David ‘The Gritt’ Britt finished his final race in his streak of 8 in 9 weekends… (or something like that, we lost count!) with another top 10.
The Queen, Jacquie Earl, was strong as always. Third on the day. Third in her age group. Consistency is Queen. Man, we love her.
Her daughter Emily chalked up another triathlon finish, and she’s getting faster. Took her 12months to do her first and now there’s no stopping her with three in six weeks. Well done Em!
‘Frank the Tank’ Ambesi (pictured) closed out his season with another strong showing, including a PB and moving up the ranks in his AG.
Claire Wilding had a sneaky race – flew in and out under the radar.
Jake Millar, the man, the beard said farewell to his trusty road bike and rounded out his first 2XU series with a consistent and well paced (just the way we like it) swim-bike-run and stopped the clock in 2:36… How far below 2:30 can he go next season?
Matt Ellis; ever consistent and having a great season landed in PB territory. Not bad from the stallion with a 70.3 in the legs – we heard age can affect recovery… well done ME.
Speaking of 70.3s in the legs, the big dog himself, Ryley Pasquali, produced a PB Olympic distance performance with another smoking swim that set him up for the day. Another age group win and taking the series overall with only three races. Starting to consistently show some signs of what we know to be there!
Last and least … The coach finally had enough and did something of note by putting together a race consisting of PBs in all three legs and potentially reigniting the ‘ride for show, run for dough’ theory. 2:02 with #sub2 well and truly on the radar.
At the Yandina five ‘0’ (Sunshine Coast) trail run we had Dan Bennett up to his usual tricks and getting the job done. Rumor has it that he even thought about training for this one! You’ve done it again Dan.
Finally, under the watchful eye of JET-Uber-biker and brother Luke, Dean Host flew the JET flag over in the west at the Mandurah tri club series race nine… yes 9!
Another great weekend of racing for the JET community… the two week countdown to the race of the year (WSTC Race Six & JET Post Season Handicap) is well and truly on.
For now, see full list of results below and enjoy some snaps of the ‘pack’ with thanks to Race Atlas and A-Lete Photography…
