How and why to adopt an optimisation mindset for age group triathletes!
We all spend a lot of time, effort and energy on our sport and associated endurance endeavors… which is great, and has far reaching benefits.
For this reason alone it is important to optimise not only the time devoted to this part of our lives, but also an optimisation mindset. This mindset and approach will ensure you yield maximal affect from the time spent training.
It is like saying; ‘if you are going to do something, then you may as well do it properly’ and epitomises our ‘Be Your Best’ philosophy.
Here are some practical examples:
– Taking the time to get a bike fit, even if you are ‘comfy’ on your bike… to optimise your fit and subsequent performance
– Taking the time to plan each week including the training within it… to ensure you can optimise the time you have available for key sessions and training in general
– Making the effort to understand the value of each training session to ensure appropriate execution… so you can optimise its affect in the grand scheme
– Developing and refining appropriate supporting habits outside of your training to ensure you are optimising your overall health and wellbeing (from this platform we build fitness and performance)
