What brought you to the sport?

A love for endurance sport. I’ve swum and run for many years but always just for fitness. In 2015 I finally bought my first bike and fell in love with cycling. So from there it just made sense to combine the three.

Biggest accomplishment in the sport?

Completing my first Ironman in Busselton, W.A. in December last year. It had been my dream ever since I was a small child watching footage from the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Something about those scenes of people realising their dreams stuck with me for the rest of my life. Not only did I finally make my dream a reality, but I got to do it in front of a massive cohort of my family and friends, the greatest cheer squad you could ask for.

How has triathlon impacted your life?

In so many ways it is truly remarkable. Triathlon has helped me to incorporate fitness into my life in a structured way. It gives me energy and helps me to be more productive than I otherwise would be. It allows me to continually evolve and develop as an athlete, showing me that there is always something new to learn. It has taught me resilience in all aspects of my life and shown me what I am truly capable of. But probably most of all, it has provided me with a community of like minded, healthy, happy, supportive and just all round awesome people to share my time with and fill me with happiness.

Dream Goal

Surprisingly not a triathlon specific goal. Complete a 100 mile ultramarathon. The Western States 100 if I could choose.

Dream Race

For triathlon it would be Norseman (look it up!). Epic in every sense.

Something interesting about you which most people would not know

I (can) speak Swedish.
