A fun little wrap up of the pack who raced sunshine coast 70.3…
The Comeback! John Dickson (4:57)
Dicko has had a little more than his fair share of adversity over the last few years… including a bike crash, some surgery and related complications…
Sunshine Coast was about setting a goal and having a positive race experience so we can continue the progression over the coming months
Mission accomplished! (and he almost followed the race plan… )
J.Dickson: one of the best
Grit. Jacquie Earl (5:12 – PB! – 3rd AG)
Joe skipper did it at IM Wales
Ash Gentle did it at the PTO US Open
Jacquie Earl did it at Sunshine Coast 70.3
We always aim to finish strong – we can plan to do so, we can train for it but we always need to execute with a healthy mix of race strategy, good pacing, appropriate fueling and some good old fashioned grit!
Jacquie delivered a personal best performance and snuck onto the podium in the latter stages of the run
Next stop: St George, Utah
In form! Luke Host (4:15 – PB!)
When your fitness and execution combine to put you in personal best territory
Luke swam well, rode fast and ran strong at #IM703SC and he’s frothing for more!
Man on a mission… Shay McLeod (4:18)
Shay rode hard and fair for the majority of the ride at #IM703SC before being gobbled up by a big pack…
He finished off with a solid sub 90min run split to complete a solid day all round.
Shays approach to training and racing is simple and effective… He’s a prime example of how to do #agegrouperlife well!
Progress Report: On track! – Brett Jacobson (5:13)
Brett is on the road to IMWA 2022… A healthy dose of commitment & consistency saw us add Sunshine Coast 70.3 as a check point along the way
The event confirmed that things are progressing very well with 11weeks to go!
Coach & athlete are now excited to add the next layer to ensure continued development…
The Heir To The Throne – Emily Earl (First time finisher – 5:54)
When your role model is ‘the Queen’ you’re already off to a good start but Emily smashed out her first long course race in style on Sunday!
From enticer first timer to half distance finisher in six months… well done Em!
