We always say that for age groupers training should ebb and flow with life
For the teachers and other academics school holidays can be a great time to add some more training volume…
Perhaps more important than the increase in volume is the increase in the capacity to recover and a reduction in overall life stressors during these periods in the year. Done correctly this time over ‘holidays’ can be a very beneficial in terms of improving fitness and conditioning
Other athletes find other periods throughout the year that they can use to similar affect. This is different for different athletes and their individual set of circumstances… be creative
