BABY ON BOARD
One of our favourite stories from last season…
When Amelia lined up for IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast, she wasn’t racing alone.
She was 9 weeks pregnant.
She was already committed to the event when she found out she was pregnant and preparing for the event. We discussed the approach but then things had to change…
Morning sickness became part of everyday life.
The focus shifted away from chasing performance and towards looking after both Mum and Bub.
Throughout the entire journey there was constant communication between coach and athlete, along with regular consultation with doctors and healthcare professionals to ensure every decision was appropriate.
Training was adjusted.
Expectations were adjusted.
The race plan was adjusted.
The finish line, however, stayed exactly the same.
Talk about taking “no excuses” to a whole new level!
Stay healthy and safe
Complete the goal
Make a story for the future
A huge congratulations to Amelia and Harry on their exciting journey into parenthood
