More training is not necessarily the answer. For some, that is what they need to do… it is simple. But for the majority this is not what is missing in the quest to optimise athletic development.
To prescribe ‘more’ only works if the individual is able to absorb and adapt to the stimulus whilst thriving in all other areas of life as well.
Instead try and think of it like this: what is the least amount of training / load you can do to achieve your goals?
Flip it on it’s head and really try and engage in the process of what you are trying to do… IMPROVE.
Remember too, that every athlete should lean into all training and supporting principles to maximize performance – not just their endurance training. This includes strength, nutrition, hydration and recovery (including sleep)
What are you doing to #BeYourBest… hopefully it’s more creative than simply looking for ‘More’?
