Our number one tip for age group triathletes is to plan and protect their training time the same way they would plan for and protect any other important meeting or commitment…
This is not selfish or obsessive, it is pragmatic and practical.
We all know consistency is key so be sure to carve out your training time for each day and each week… whether you have a predictable and repeatable schedule or otherwise.
‘Busy’ is the adult version of ‘the dog ate my homework’ – you can make time and there can and should be time made available for you, your health and your fitness. The athletes going fast on race day and the ones exploring their athletic potential make time for their training. You can too!
At least once a week be sure to sit down and plan out all your commitments, including training, and schedule accordingly. This is a great habit for every athlete – from KONA qualifier to the podium chaser to the lifestyle athlete
Plan for it. Protect it. Be your best
