RACE WEEK MINDSET
Ready to race?
Nervous?
That’s ok… it’s normal.
One thing we find can help settle the nerves is to look back through all the training you HAVE done. (Note: Obviously only works if you’ve done some!)
Look at what you have done. Not what was planned. Not what you could have done. But what you’ve actually done. This should bring some confidence and some calm that you’re well equipped. Many hours over many months for one single day.
Each session is money in the bank and race day is about making your withdrawal. It’s not just the hours on the training track but the experience and the lessons along the way. Embrace it and enjoy it.
Your job come race day is to tap into those savings and spend. It’s about getting the most out of yourself ON THIS DAY with the fitness you have and the cards you’re dealt. That’s it.
Spend big. What’s the best YOU can you get with the money you have in the bank?
Be your best.
