Many athletes remove themselves from a coaching relationship saying that they will keep up their training and they will be ok… but time and again we see them fall away and they end up randomly exercising. Their purpose, direction and structure is lost.
Others only ‘train’ when there is a race upcoming and think they can simply flick a switch and find their rhythm and routine. Fact is, they are never going to optimise their performance (in any aspect) with this type of approach.
Now more than ever understanding the real value and role of training in our lives is as important as ever… it is a rare opportunity for us to reset and reload with a great foundation of habits and routines, grounded in training and other basic healthy practices (eg. Sleep, Hydration etc).
