This race never disappoints. An honest course that requires good preparation, good execution and a good healthy dose of grit.

A stellar day out from the JET pack – some of the highlights will continue to be shared via our socials throughout the week – check them out when you get the chance!

Here are the headlines:

  • 25 athletes racing
  • 11 personal bests
  • 10 Top 10s
  • 5 first timers
  • 5 sub 430s
  • 1 podium
  • 1 dream team

Special mention to Frank and Ryan for 22min and 20min PBs respectively as well as all those who worked hard for either a 70.3 PB or their personal best on this course! It is safe to say that the first timers did a very good job, and, did it in style!

We also got a lot of messages, comments and feedback from the triathlon community about JET and our community of athletes. From positive commentary about how we raced, to our race kits, general community vibes, number of athletes on course and race performances/results! So, well done and THANK YOU for being a part of the JET COACHING community.

COLES BAY HALF

Over in Tasmania Dave Clarke backed up after Tasmania 70.3 with a handy 5:20 half ironman. This course is notoriously tough thanks to a hilly bike ride and sections of sand on the run. Well done DC.

2XU ST KILDA

Last but not least we had a small crew down at St Kilda for the final race of the 2XU season. Good conditions and some fast racing as always. Special mention to Mel hay for her first multisport event where she swam in a team with her husband and son. And also to the one and only D. Britt for another podium which should be enough to secure his ‘State Series Title’ – a step p from third last year. Matt Huckstepp dominated his first OD triathlon and second tri ever and Hollie, once again, had a clean streak of personal bests across swim-bike-run.

OD

David Britt, 2:46 – 3rd AG
Matt Huckstepp, 2:29 – First Time OD!

SPRINT

Hollie Jackman, 1:42 – PB!
