THE ROAD AHEAD
A few tips and practical applications for those who are now reloading for Geelong 70.3 on the 28th March.
– Take a deep breath and reset. We are now five weeks out from a 70.3 – there are certain things we know will be beneficial for race day performance
– Think of two or three things that you would have liked to have done if the race was today – prioritise them over the coming weeks
– We know that fitness is seldom the limiter for race day performance. Be sure to turn your attention to the ‘other’ things that are going to help you achieve your best on race day
– Don’t over do it and don’t do anything silly – it is likely you were at least very close to great shape and ready to race so do not try to cram everything in or focus on too many aspects all at once. Keep it simple and trust the process
– Embrace, enjoy and have fun! This is a unique opportunity – don’t let it pass you by and, as always, make the BEST of it
– Concern yourself with what you can control… nothing else.
All the best and see you in Geelong!
